General Manager Job Description & Responsibility
• Raise standards of student attainment and achievement within Science & Creative thinking and monitor and support students’ progress.
• To lead STEAM activities for groups of students across years 8 – 15.
• Develop and advance the courses/workshops for Rewiring Brains for the age group of 8-15 yrs.
• Participate in meetings with existing schools to promote the program of Rewiring Brains.
• To ensure that all the courses/workshop are planned with clear aims and objectives, and all courses delivered in line with the institute policies.
• To encourage all students to be actively engaged and participating in their own learning and in reviewing their progress against targets.
• To ensure that the classroom atmosphere is learning-oriented, curiosity oriented and positive always.
• Assess students to evaluate their abilities, strengths and weaknesses. Communicate with parents about student progress.
• Work with individual student to challenge them, to improve their abilities and to work their weaknesses.
• To deal with inappropriate behaviour quickly and effectively according to the institute behaviour policy.
• To check that all courses/workshops are effectively communicated and understood by all groups of students.
• To set appropriate tasks and challenges for homework according to the pre-set time table, and ensure that it is regularly marked with constructive feedback.
• To keep careful records of student progress.
• To ensure that there is a high standard of display workshop in the institute, which is changed frequently.
• To attend scheduled meetings in the Institute and participate in exhibitions if any related to the education.
• To work with colleagues in the Institute to execute and implement policies for the institute as well as for students.
• To ensure that all courses/workshop are trialled beforehand and risk assessment used with all experimental work.
